Sewing with Gertie

Hawaiian 50s bombshell dress Shaheen styleSewing Diversion: some months back I joined in Gertie’s Sew Retro online course at Craftsy: Perfect Fit Bombshell Dress. I drafted my own 50s-style petal bodice – the lined ‘petals’ turn up or down, depending on your whim…

I’ve reviewed the course at SewingPatternReview if you’re interested.

Now that the warm weather has arrived downunder (and how), I’ll be sashaying down to HulaBula or Deville’s Pad in my halter bombshell dress. Unless an offer is forthcoming to jet over to, say, Tahiti.

This looks awesome. I just signed up for Gertie’s course. I didn’t see your picture in the projects for the class. I hope you add it. I’m sure people who are thinking about signing up will do it without a doubt when they see this. Beautiful!

Thankyou Keren! I posted photos to the SewRetro class page of Craftsy – must add to their main website too. Good luck with the course.
