It’s always interesting to see what people cast off for council verge collection (and sometimes sad!).
Yesterday a Tiger was on our next-door-neighbour’s rubbish pile! I was just in time to snap a couple of shots before this little girl raced off with him. Trixie said there was no way her resident Tiger status was going to be usurped.
I’ve been sewing from Vintage patterns lately. This modern Butterick shift dress pattern with a turned boatneck collar worked a treat in fabric purchased from Tessuti – a kinda 60s look (and early Elvis hair). And don’t I match the blue Gordon Andrews’ Rondo chair perfectly?
It’s hard to sew when Miss Trixie exercises her rights to sit on anything papery or vaguely mat-like!
Now that December has dawned, bringing with it the onset of Christmas Panic Syndrome, maybe it’s a good time to get one thing sorted. My sweet sister is offering some wonderful bonuses at Moombaki for mailing list customers, and as usual is helping someone else in the process – Oxfam Save Water/Save Lives project.

Our little cat Trixie has beautiful markings – and I was struck by how her colours are replicated in our feature stone fireplace. But I only had a split second to try and shoot it – she disdainfully stalked off.
